My name is Kristina Morros. I am American and I moved to The Netherlands in 2010 with my daughter to live with my Dutch husband. I owner of the Yoga Vixen brand and also a yoga teacher. I have experience teaching different forms of yoga including aerial yoga, hot yoga, hatha yoga, and SUP yoga. I began practicing yoga regularly when I was 18 years old in Birmingham, Alabama. I followed regular classes at Sportsfirst and The Yoga Circle. The teachers were all high quality teachers and it was here that my love for yoga began growing. In 2011, I began practicing at Yogasite and Enjoy Sports in Breda. I completed the RYT 200 Hatha yoga teacher training program at Yogasite and the Aerial Yoga teacher training program with Aerial Yoga Nederland. I have given workshops for aerial yoga in Breda, Eindhoven, Birmingham, Alabama, and Panama City, Florida. I have taught aerial yoga at the Yoga Festival Terschelling and Yoga Festival Eindhoven. In the summer of 2017, I also completed a SUP teacher training with Shanda Beste, owner of Inner Chi Wellness, in Santa Rosa Beach, Florida and I am a certified by The World Paddle Association.
Next to yoga, I am also a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist. I trained in the United States at University of Alabama at Birmingham in Birmingham, Alabama and I administer anesthesia in different hospitals and clinics throughout The Netherlands. Through my anesthesia training, I have a very good understanding of human anatomy and pathologies.
Yoga and meditation are part of my daily lifestyle and I have personally found that incorporating these into my life has brought me personally more joy, peace, relaxation, balance, and mindful observance in everything that I do. I have experienced that taking time out to be with myself has allowed me to become more in tune with my intuition. I believe in a balanced life: one in which you can live life to the fullest, have fun, and enjoy living and loving all of life's precious gifts with loving intentions while also having a connection with the universe and your life purpose.
As a yoga teacher, it is my goal to share my love of yoga and meditation with my students and to be available to each and every person who comes into the studio. It is also important to me to help connect with people and help people connect with each other. I hope for everyone who comes into my studio that they feel at home and at ease with me and that they know that being themselves is enough. You don't have to be a certain "type of person" to practice yoga. Being different is good and in fact is the greatest gift! See you in the studio!
